String Loaded – Celtic fiddle band
A concert in our 2020 Fine Music Concert Series
2020 marks the 145th anniversary of ten Sisters of Mercy from Ennis, Ireland arriving in Singleton.
To celebrate, we are having a special Irish music celebration, with String Loaded Celtic Fiddle Band bringing their upbeat and passionate Irish (and a bit of Scottish!) fiddle music and singing to our Sisters’ Chapel.
The band features the feisty fiddle playing sisters, Gabi and Liv, supported by Dad, Ray, on guitar and Mum Jen on bodhran. The beauty, skill and infectious energy of the girls’ fiddle music and singing will leave you spell bound and fill your heart with joy.
The band has performed at international and national music festivals including the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Woodford Folk Festival, the Australian Celtic Festival, Bundanoon Highland Gathering, Tamworth Country Music Festival, Australian Golden Fiddle Show and many local festivals, cultural events, corporate functions and private parties. String Loaded have performed with a host of amazing musicians including Jimmy Barnes, Andrew Clermont, Alistair Fraser & Natalie Haas, Pixie Jenkins, Allan Caswell, Marcus Holden, John Williamson, Marian Burns and many more.
